ABOUT THE BAND:

„the Doorsz” (pronounced “The dorsh”) is a tribute to the "the Doors" based in the north Poland “Tri-Cities” (Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia). This band was formed in 2014 after their american frontman glennSKii returned to Poland after his three-year residence in Asia and California. As of 2014, the band has been performing 18-20 songs written and made famous by the Doors. The musicians skillfully improvise in the similar blues-rock free and soulful style. All five members are professional musicians with many years of stage, studio, and jam session experience.  It is often said that this Doors tribute is on a musical level well above that found in other Doors tributes in Europe.

„the Doorsz”  to trójmiejski hołd dla klasyki blues-rockowego zespołu „the Doors” z przełomu lat 60-tych i 70-tych. Ten zespół powstał w 2014 r. po powrocie do Polski glennSKii’ego po jego trzyletnim okresie w Azji i Kalifornii. Począwszy od 2014 r. zespół wykonuje 18-20 utworów the Doors, umiejętnie improwizując w podobnie blues-rockowym stylu zespołu. Wszyscy z pięciu członków są profesjonaln

glennSKii Meyer (USA) - Vocals

Vocalist/rapper, producer, MC, lyricist. „Fryderyk” (polish equivalent of the Grammy) award winner, Polish Dance Awards i „Paszportu Polityki” nomination, 2 gold albums (100,000) & 1 platinum (200,000). Performed on many concerts in Poland and internationally, including.: RMF Inwazja Mocy, Przystanek Woodstock, Węgorzewo, Marlboro Sound Race, European Capital of Culture - Copenhagen, Red Bull - Austria, Converse Tour Vietnam. Collaborations: Liroy, Reni Jusis, Yaro, Kayah, Jarek Śmietana, Leszek Możdżer, Mikołaj Trzaska, Jacek Olter, Irek Wojtczak, Łąki Łan, Barry Ashworth, Jacknife Lee.

Krzysztof Stachura - Guitar (Logophonic, Formy Planet, Nieznany Wykonawca, Band_A, Bielizna)                             

Guitarist, composer, & arranger. Collaborations: Bielizna, Blenders, Makowiecki Band, Łyczacza,Tymon Tymański, Olo Walicki, Przemek Dyakowski. Awards include Mazurski Turnieju Muzyczny. Performed on: Top Trendy, Opole Festival, Ostróda Reggae Festival, Open’er (Gdynia), Seven Festival, Piknik Country.

Maciej Szkudlarek - Bass  (Why Bother?, Lastryko, Logophonic)                                                        

Bassist, guitarist, producer, cultural event organizer. Performed on Heineken Open’er, Ostróda Reggae Festival and many others.

Grzegorz “Kura” Kurowski- Keyboards  (Live Acoustic Sound, Spark, Rebel6)                                              

Studied piano and organ in music school in Gdańsk. Has been performing in the styles of rock, funk, blues, and latino for many years. Performs with a number of successful tribute bands.

Michał Młyniec - Drums  (St. John, Monkey Funks)                                                                                                   

Drummer & bassist. Collaborations: Blenders, Deluxe Tribute Band, Makowiecki Band, The Shipyard, Sautrus. Performed on Męskie Granie 2014. Songs from his band “The Shipyard” are played regularly on Polish radio stations. Played many concerts and festivals in Poland and internationally. Is a member of 10
